Day Off Cigar Review – Rocky Patel Decade Toro Tubo – By: Mike

You can’t have a day off without making time to enjoying a stick too! Otherwise it doesn’t really feel like a day off, you know? I wanted to make it a great day off so after some backyard BBQ I lit up a Rocky Patel Decade Toro Tubo!

Rocky Patel is a brand that has had a presence in my humidor for what feels like years now. Tubos are often my go-to just because of the convenience – it has its own little carrying case! The cedar inside makes for a complex first few puffs. The stick itself gives off plenty of smoke so over the course of the Toro, it makes for a really relaxing smoke. The all Nicaraguan core & Sumatra wrapper give plenty of strength. I’ll count the chocolate, coffee, black cherry and almond notes as my “dessert”.

If you haven’t already grabbed a handful of the Rocky Patel Toro Tubos for your own day off, you should fix that today!

These Viaje can’t be beat!

Early Monday Morning Cigar Review – Davidoff Golden Band Award – By: Sal

Wanting to start the week off right, I knew that a Davidoff was the only way to go. Looking over my humidor, I reached for the Davidoff Golden Band Award cigar – it was an excellent choice!

I’m not afraid of stronger cigars so while the Davidoff Golden Band Award cigar isn’t the mildest smoke that Davidoff makes, I knew it’d be just right for me to start the week, first thing in the morning. Not everyone smokes as they drive into work but when I’ve got the luxury of doing so, I like to do so in luxury. The famous Yamasa wrapper on the outside & the premium Dominican binders & long fillers on the inside make for those graham cracker notes all through the stick you always hear me going on about.

Wanting to treat myself to a great start to my week, I went with the Davidoff Golden Band Award cigar and was super stoked for it!

Got a Rare one this Friday!

Back Porch Cigar Review – Drew Estate Liga Privada Unico L40 – By: Jeanette

Wanting to treat myself to something I hadn’t tried before I reached for a dark and luxurious Liga L40 – it was the perfect match!

It has been a while since I had a lancero, so I decided to smoke one that had been on my to-do list for a while. Drew Estate’s Liga Privada L40 lancero is a toothy, dark veined wrapper that is a bit wider than your overage lancero (hence the “40” in the name). The strength is medium but the cigar boasts nuanced and complex flavors like dark cocoa, subtle toasted coffee beans, earthiness and herb notes. A perfect “I deserve this!” treat that I enjoyed corssing off my to-do list, hands down.

Wanting to treat myself with something flashy and new, I was right to assume I wasn’t going to risk being disapointed when I grabbed a Liga Privada L40 lancero cigar!
