Davidoff Year of the Rooster 2017 Limited Edition – Shipping Nov. 11, 2016

Anthony’s Cigar Emporium, a Davidoff Appointed Merchant, has learned that Davidoff will be shipping the Year of the Rooster on November 11, 2016.  Davidoff Lunar New Year limited editions are always a hot commedity given their very limited one-and-done releases.  The Davidoff Year of the Rooster 2017 is a 6 3/4” x 50 Diademas Finas vitola. The Davidoff Year of the Rooster 2017 is exquisitely packaged in distinctive, handmade 10 ct. red and dark brown lacquered wooden boxes representing the shape of a rooster’s plumage and with motifs that reflect the aesthetic origins of Chinese culture.

The unique and very complex, medium to full bodied blend composed by Davidoff Master Blenders under the direction of Henke Kelner has notes of hazelnut, nougat, and a well-pronounced creaminess. The Year of the Rooster features proprietary varietals from the Dominican Republic (San Vicente Mejorado Binder and Piloto Seco, San Vicente Visus, Piloto Visus and Criollo Seco Filler blend) all covered with a dark and oily Ecuadorian Habano wrapper. The total production of the Davidoff Year of the Rooster 2017 was strictly limited to the availability of the exceptional tobaccos used to create this blend, and only 4,500 10 ct. boxes were made for this very limited edition release. This is truly a connoisseur’s smoke, and the past lunar new year releases have been worth the hefty price tag.
