The Caldwell Yellow Cake began as a highly sought-after event exclusive 4×42 petite corona that utilizes tobaccos from three premium that Caldwell produces in the Dominican Republic. The Yellow Cake uses 100% Dominican blend uses a Dominican corojo wrapper that can be found on the Long Live the King and the filler is left over from the production of the Eastern Standard and King is Dead. The cigar was previously only handed out to attendees of Caldwell Cigar events and was not seen on shelves until 2016 when the cigar was made available for sale by select Caldwell retailers in 5-ct paper bundles and sleeves of 10 bundles.
